I can't recommend this book though everyone I know that read it, including myself, loved it. The character names are the only things that translate from book to film. James Bond is playing or pre-paring to play bridge for 1/3 of this novel, and yet, somehow, I find that compelling. This book is also peppered with some Ian Flemming WWII spy tricks that read a bit like a documentation of contemporary spy work. Moonraker is obvious and quaint yet fun and quite enjoyable.
